CricketNearby is a small, scrappy team with a big mission. If you love cricket, care about trust, and want to build something real — keep reading.
How We Hire
We are a lean team and we like it that way. Every person who joins CricketNearby does meaningful work from day one. We don't hire to fill headcount — we hire when we have a real problem that needs a real person.
We care far more about attitude, communication, and curiosity than about credentials. You don't need a degree from a top college. You do need to be reliable, honest, and genuinely interested in helping Indian cricket families find great facilities.
All roles are currently part-time and remote. We pay on time, we give honest feedback, and we treat everyone on the team like a professional — because that's what they are.
Open Roles
All roles are remote and part-time unless otherwise noted.
Verification Intern
Part-time · Remote
₹5,000–8,000 / month
You will be the backbone of our trust system. Your job is to call cricket academies across India, confirm their details, and approve or reject listings. This role requires good spoken Hindi and/or English, a methodical approach, and a genuine love for cricket.
What You'll Do
Make outbound verification calls to listed academies (30–50 calls per week)
Update listing details based on call outcomes
Flag suspicious or fraudulent listings for senior review
Maintain a call log with notes in our internal dashboard
What We're Looking For
Good spoken communication skills in Hindi and/or English
We need someone who can write clear, engaging, and accurate content about cricket in India — city guides, academy spotlights, parent advice pieces, and SEO pages. You must have a strong grip on simple English and ideally know the difference between a cover drive and a cut shot.
What You'll Do
Write 8–12 pieces of content per month (city guides, blog posts, FAQs)
Research and write accurate descriptions for new listing categories
Help draft social media copy for Instagram and X
Suggest content ideas based on search trends and parent questions
What We're Looking For
Strong written English with clear, conversational style
Basic understanding of SEO and keyword research
Ability to deliver content on deadline without hand-holding
Our community is growing — parents, coaches, and cricket fans who follow us on Instagram and WhatsApp. We need someone who can keep the conversation alive, answer questions, and make people feel heard. This is a relationship-first role — it requires warmth, patience, and genuine enthusiasm for cricket.
What You'll Do
Manage and grow our Instagram account (posts, stories, replies)
Monitor and respond to messages across WhatsApp, Instagram, and email
Build relationships with academy owners and parent communities
Identify and escalate listing quality issues reported by community members
What We're Looking For
Active social media user with an eye for engagement
Excellent written communication — warm, professional, never robotic
Patient with people who may not be tech-savvy
Cricket fan preferred — you need to understand our audience
Send a short note (no CV required — just tell us who you are and why you want this role).
2
Quick intro call
15–20 minutes on Google Meet with Vishal, our founder. We want to hear you, not read your resume.
3
Small paid task
A specific task related to the role — typically 2–3 hours of work, fully compensated.
4
Offer in 48 hours
If the task goes well, we move fast. No month-long processes.
