How We Verify Every Listing
Before any facility appears on CricketNearby, a real person from our team calls them, confirms their details, and signs off. Here's exactly what that process looks like.
The 4-Step Verification Process
Facility Submits a Request
A facility owner fills in our listing form with their details — name, address, contact number, type of facility, fees, and operating hours. This information is held in a pending state and is not visible to the public until verified.
Our Team Makes a Verification Call
Within 3–5 business days, a member of our team calls the contact number provided. We confirm the facility exists, is actively operating, and that the information submitted is accurate.
We Cross-Check the Details
We verify the facility address on Google Maps, confirm the phone number is reachable, and check that the listing details match reality. For girls-only or girls-welcoming facilities, we specifically confirm this directly with the owner or coordinator.
Listing Goes Live with the Verified Badge
Once all checks pass, the listing is published with a green Verified badge. The verification is valid for 180 days, after which we conduct a re-verification to ensure the listing is still active and accurate.
What Gets Verified
Our team checks every one of these points before a listing is approved.
- The facility physically exists at the stated address
- The listed phone number connects to the actual facility
- The programmes, timings and fees are as described
- The facility is actively accepting bookings or enquiries
- Girls-specific details are confirmed directly with the owner (for filtered listings)
- The facility has been operating for at least 3 months
Verification Expires After 180 Days
The CricketNearby Verified badge is not permanent. Every listing is re-verified every 180 days to ensure the information stays accurate and the facility is still active. Every listing you see with a Verified badge has been confirmed operational within the last six months.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Does verification cost anything?
- Verification is free for all facilities during our launch period. There is no charge to get listed or to receive the Verified badge.
- What happens when a verification expires?
- Verification badges expire after 180 days. We contact the facility for a re-verification. If the facility cannot be reached or no longer meets our standards, the badge is removed and the listing is marked inactive.
- Can I trust an unverified listing?
- We only show listings that have passed verification. Listings that fail verification are never published. Always look for the green Verified badge for the highest level of confidence.
- What if I find incorrect information on a listing?
- Please contact us at cricketnearbyweb@gmail.com with the listing name and the incorrect information. We investigate within 48 hours.
