CricketNearby (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the website cricketnearby.com (“the Platform”). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.

By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

This policy applies to all visitors, registered users, and academy owners who use CricketNearby.

Lead form submissions: When you submit an enquiry for a listing, we collect your name, phone number, and city. This is the minimum necessary to connect you with the academy.

Account registration: If you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and (optionally) your city and phone number.

Academy listing submissions: Academy owners submit facility details including name, address, contact number, operating hours, fees, and coaching information.

Usage data: We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personally identifiable information. We receive aggregate data on page views and traffic sources only.

Device and browser data: We may log IP addresses and user agent strings for security and abuse prevention purposes. This data is not used for tracking or advertising.

Lead data (name, phone, city): Used solely to deliver your enquiry to the academy you selected. We do not use this data for any other purpose, and we do not contact you after your enquiry is delivered.

Account data: Used to authenticate your account, manage your saved listings, and provide customer support when you contact us.

Academy listing data: Published on the Platform to help users find relevant facilities. Academies can update or remove their information at any time by contacting us.

Security logs: IP and user agent data is used to detect and prevent fraud, spam submissions, and abuse. It is not shared externally.

Lead data: Automatically deleted 30 days after submission. No exceptions.

Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@cricketnearby.com.

Academy listing data: Retained for as long as the listing is active on the Platform. Inactive listings are archived and not publicly visible.

Security logs: Retained for 90 days for abuse investigation purposes, then deleted.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Period.

Academies: When you submit an enquiry, your name, phone number, and city are shared with that specific academy only.

Service providers: We use Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (CDN and security), Resend (email delivery), and MSG91 (SMS OTP). These providers process data only as necessary to deliver our service and are contractually bound to protect it.

Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required to do so by a court order or applicable law under the jurisdiction of India.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Object to processing of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@cricketnearby.com with your request. We will respond within 15 business days.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and rate limiting on all public forms. All forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent automated submissions.

Despite these measures, no system is completely secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to security@cricketnearby.com.

CricketNearby is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to us, please contact us at privacy@cricketnearby.com and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page with an updated date. For significant changes, we will notify registered users by email.
